1946 – 2014

BERLIN, N.H. — Ronald F. Valliere, 67, of Berlin, N.H., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at his home.

He was born in Berlin, N.H., on Jan. 16, 1946, the son of the late Leon and Laurenda (Parent) Valliere, and graduated from Berlin High School in 1965. He was a jokester and enjoyed a good laugh and telling stories, and was very involved with Berlin hockey. Ron worked construction for many years on various projects, including several in the area and lastly for St. Lawrence & Atlantic Railroad as a track man and foreman.

Ron was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He loved life, his family and was a true native of Berlin. Ron was always there to lend a helping hand and was a good husband, father, brother and friend. He received his 24-year chip for sobriety in December 2013. After his retirement, he enjoyed delivering cars for Berlin City, which was very supportive to his family during Ron’s illness.

His family includes his wife, Susan (Richard) Valliere, of Berlin, N.H.; sons, Wayne Valliere and wife, Linda, of Intervale, N.H., Chris Valliere and wife, Deana, of Berlin, N.H., and Chad King and wife, Marybeth, of Thornton, N.H.; grandchildren, Evan Valliere, Cameron Valliere and Mason King; sisters, Louise Burbank of Hollis, N.H., and Jean Cooper and companion, Bob, of Loudon, N.H.; and nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

He was predeceased by brothers, Bob Valliere and Paul Valliere; and a sister, Claire Hodgman.
