1949 – 2014

LEWISTON — David Arthur Koljonen, “Davy,” 64, of Livermore, died Thursday, Jan. 16, at Central Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Farmington on Sept. 26, 1949, the only child of David Amos and Fanny Stevenson (Donald) Koljonen. He was a 1969 graduate of Jay High School and earned a degree in theology from Tennessee Temple. For a short time, he was employed at Shaw’s in Auburn. He was self-employed and did seasonal yard maintenance in the area.

An accomplished musician, he played the banjo, guitar, piano and trumpet, and was a member of the Old Crow Indian Band for many years.

He is survived by his aunt, Evelyn D. Durrell, of Jay; and several cousins.

He was predeceased by his dad, who died Oct. 29, 2008; and his mom, who died May 22, 2009.
