1930 – 2014

NORWAY — Eileen (Streblow) Kiley, 83, of Bolsters Mills, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 16, at Norway Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born in Amsterdam, N.Y., on Nov. 24, 1930, the daughter of Eric and Mary Ross Streblow. She graduated from Plattsburg State Teacher’s College as an RN and finished her career as the nursing care coordinator for Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey.

An only child, Eileen married into a large family. She loved her brothers- and sisters-in-law and her many nieces and nephews. Hosting Thanksgiving for 30 family members was one of the great joys of her life. She sang with the Sweet Adeline’s, enjoyed traveling with her husband Joe, raising her collies, gardening and bird watching.

She retired to Maine with Joe, where she was an active member of her church and the Ladies Guild of Bolsters Mills. Eileen was loving, creative, intelligent and fun. She enriched every life she touched. She will be in our hearts forever.

Eileen is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Joesph F. Kiley Jr.; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Karen and Leon Kistler, Terry Kiley, Jeanne Beideman, Kathy and Larry Clements, and Mary-Jo and Jack Widmann. She was also grandma to 11 grandchildren, Shaun, Craig, Shannon, Josh, Carl, Kristen, Jason, Eric, Zachary, Deven and Brandi; and one great-granddaughter, Potter Eileen Bloom.
