BRUNSWICK — Love nature? Love to ski? Celebrate both this winter by entering The Nature Conservancy’s annual I Love Nature Skistakes.

A dozen Mainers will win a pair of one-day lift tickets to Mt. Abram, as part of an effort to encourage everyone to get out and enjoy nature this winter.

“Ski, skate, snowshoe or just take a walk. Nature puts on an amazing show that makes winter in Maine special,” said Mike Tetreault, executive director of The Nature Conservancy in Maine.

Enter via the sweepstakes tab on the Maine Nature Conservancy Facebook page, then post a note or a photo showing what you love about getting out into nature during the long Maine winter, using the tag #skistakes.

“As the 2012 Golden Eagle Award winner, Mt. Abram is committed to environmental stewardship,” said Jamie Schectman, marketing director. “We are honored to be partnered with the Nature Conservancy on the I Love Nature Ski-Stakes.”

The fun begins Thursday, Jan. 23, and you can enter daily. Winners will be selected by random drawing Feb. 6, just in time for Great Maine Outdoor Weekend, Feb. 14-16. All Maine residents over 18 are eligible to enter and full sweepstakes rules can be found online.
