WILTON — Franklin County Farm Bureau is sponsoring a maple syrup workshop at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Wilton Town Office.

The workshop is designed for anyone interested in learning about maple syrup production for either family use or as a second source of income.

Kathy Hopkins from UMaine Cooperative Extension will discuss production practices and methods. The new grading system will also be shared as will information about the current rules and regulations regarding commercial production.

Miguel Ibarguen will talk about the various types of equipment available to make maple syrup.

The workshop is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Pam at 645-2568.
