Knitting Guild annual meeting

PARIS — The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at The First Congregational Church, East Main Street.

This will be the annual planning meeting since the January meeting was canceled due to the weather.

Members are asked to wear something red in celebration of Valentines and Heart Health month. Members should also bring any items for Outreach. During the winter months warm hats and mittens are always in demand.

Anyone who might be interested in joining is invited to attend.

Should school be canceled due to weather, the group will not meet.

VFW Post 9787 to meet Feb. 5

PARIS — The Floyd A. Harlow Jr. VFW Post 9787 will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, at Maine Veterans Home, 477 High St.

Karaoke night at American Legion

OXFORD — An adults-only BYOB karaoke night will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at American Legion Post 112 on King Street.

Admission is $6. TJ the DJ will play.
