LEWISTON — “Carpal Tunnel and Other Common Treatable Problems of the Hand” is the subject of a special presentation set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at Central Maine Medical Center, in the Chairmen’s Rooms on the lower level of the 12 High Street medical office building.

Orthopaedic surgeon Lauren Adey, M.D., will discuss the symptoms of carpal tunnel and what can be done to prevent and treat this common problem affecting the hand. She will also discuss some of the causes of thumb pain, including tendonitis and arthritis.

Adey is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who practices with Central Maine Orthopaedics in Auburn. Her practice focus is surgery of the hand, wrist and elbow.
