LEWISTON — Mr. and Mrs. John T. Emerson of Lewiston are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, John Leslie Emerson, to Chelsea Nye Walker, daughter of Beverely L. and John T. Janoush of Cleveland, Miss.
The couple met in Charleston, S.C.
The future bride is a graduate of Cleveland High School and the University of Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Brenau University. She is currently employed at New England Rehab Hospital and Mainely Kidz in Saco.
The future bridegroom is a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Charleston Southern University. He is currently employed at Emerson Chevrolet-Buick in Auburn as a third generation automotive dealer.
The couple will be married on Sept. 13 at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, S.C.
