First, I do not know Ryan White.
Second, I don’t have sympathy or empathy for people who, of their own free will, get involved with mind altering substances — much less become desperate enough to stage robberies to support an addiction.
However, I am incensed by the Sun Journal’s headline, “Drug court dropout” (Jan. 29), above a three-column by almost five-inch color photo of White with his head buried in his hands.
That is absolutely despicable, and shows an abject lack of editorial integrity by the Sun Journal.
In the accompanying article, Judge MaryGay Kennedy aptly expressed everything that needed to be (or should have been) said.
