1946 – 2014

LEWISTON — Lise R. Champagne, 67, of 12 Jenkins St., Lewiston, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center following a long illness.

She was born in Lac-Megantic, Quebec, on Nov. 28, 1946, the daughter of Paul-Emile and Simone (Couet) Morin, and had been a resident of this community for most of her life. She was employed as a medical technician at d’Youville Pavilion Nursing Home for 28 years, until her retirement.

Lise enjoyed cooking, knitting, reading and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She was an amazing wife, mother and memere. She will be missed by all of her family.

She is survived by her husband, Paul R. Champagne, whom she married on May 30, 1969, of Lewiston; one daughter, Suzy S. Roy and her husband, Keith, of Old Orchard Beach; one son, Paul J. Champagne and his wife, Sarah, of Sanford; her father, Paul-Emile Morin, of Lac-Megantic, Quebec; three grandchildren, Morgan Riley, Mackenzie Grace and Addison Sophia Champagne, all of Sanford; six brothers, Jacques Morin and his wife, Nicole, Michel Morin, Jean Morin, Serge Morin and his wife, Raymonde, Aldo Morin and Daniel Morin and his wife, Claudette, all of Lac-Megantic, Quebec; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at d’Youville Pavilion and the ICU staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for the wonderful care and support for the family during this difficult time.
