KENTS HILL — The Kents Hill School Board of Trustees had elected Patrick C. McInerney as the 19th head of school. McInerney had served as interim head of school since July.

A graduate of Bates College with a graduate degree from Harvard University, McInerney and his wife have been involved in independent education for more than 30 years. In that time, he has served as an associate head of school, dean of students, and director of admissions. As an educator, he has shared his lifelong love of science, in particular teaching AP biology. As both an athlete and coach he has shared his passion for soccer, skiing and tennis.
