1928 – 2014

LEWISTON — Carmen B. Charpentier, 85, a resident of Hartley Street in Lewiston, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Central Maine Medical Center, with her family by her side.

She was born in Madawaska on Nov. 8, 1928, the daughter of Ernest and Olive Lagassie. She grew up in Madawaska, but was a resident of Lisbon for most of her life and most recently lived in Lewiston.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, bingo and going to the casino. She will always be known for her great personality and wonderful sense of humor.

Survivors include one daughter, Lynn Poulin, of Auburn; one stepson, Dan Charpentier, of Connecticut; two grandsons, Sedrick Simons of Auburn and Norman Poulin of Greene; one sister, Geri Lagassie, of Lewiston; her close companion, Al Prevost, of Lewiston; and her close friends, Evelyn Robichaud of Lewiston and Doralda Kirouac of Arizona, as well as many other close friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar “Babe” Charpentier, whom died in 1997; and several brothers and sisters.
