RUMFORD — Funeral services for Peter M. Vance Sr., of Rumford were conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin Street, Rumford, ME 04276-0537, with the Rev. Carol Stevens of the Rumford United Methodist Church officiating. Music selections included “Peace in the Valley” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Words of remembrance were given by his son, Peter Vance Jr. Delegations attending were from the Rumford and area fire departments. Interment in the spring will be at St. John Cemetery. A reception followed at the Virgin Memorial Chapel of the Rumford United Methodist Church on Linnell Street in Rumford.
