Two 14-year-old local racewalkers became the youngest women ever to compete in the event Saturday at the historic Millrose Games in New York City.
Sydney Sirois of St. Dominic Academy and Kayla Allen of Lewiston High School finished as the fifth and sixth Americans, respectively, in the event.
Sirois was eighth overall in the field of 12 with a personal record time of 7:43.90. Allen was ninth in 7:53.42.
It was the national debut for both girls.
