NORWAY — Western Maine Health Vice President of Clinical Services, M. Patricia Cook, RN, MBA, EdD, announces that Stephens Memorial Hospital registered nurse Jill Cormier has successfully taken and passed her medical/surgical certification.
The medical/surgical nursing certification is accredited through the American Nursing Credentialing Center, which is a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association. This rigorous program required Cormier to meet several requirements and pass a certification exam.
She has been a staff nurse at Stephens Memorial Hospital since 2008. In order to pass this exam, she was required to take a 16-week course. Many hours were spent studying the vast areas of knowledge required to successfully obtain certification.
