Featured artist on Saturday, March 8, will be “A Moment’s Notice.” Since the mid 1990s the group has been performing a blend of straight ahead jazz standards and original tunes around Maine.While often appearing as a quartet, this show presents the trio of John Smedley on guitar, Jeff Taylor on bass and Michael Hansen on drums. Their set list includes Smedley originals and works by Theolonious Monk and Wes Montgomery.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Snacks and beverages will be offered at intermission. A suggested $10 donation toward the artists and the many neighborhood ministries of Trinity Church will be accepted at the door (kids free). Trinity is at 247 Bates St., corner of Spruce St. next to Kennedy Park.

The Room at Trinity is now booking the 2014-15 season. To offer your talents as an opener or performer next year, please submit an application through the RAT website at www.theroomtrinity.wordpress.com. Spots are available for opening acts by local singer songwriters, poets, storytellers and other artists.
