1923 – 2014

AUBURN — Joseph A. Michaud, 90, a resident of Warren Avenue in Lewiston and formerly of Topsham, died Monday, Feb. 24, at the Hospice House following a brief illness.

He was born in Bath on March 10, 1923, the son of Joseph A., and Leonie (Lebel) Michaud. Joseph was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was employed for most of his life as a machinist at the Bath Iron Works shipyard, retiring several years ago. He was also a member of the American Legion in Topsham.

He married the former Gloria Bolduc on Nov. 25, 1949, in Brunswick, and settled in Topsham.

Survivors include two daughters, Anne-Marie Michaud of Greene and Mariette Leino and husband, Mark, of Lewiston; one sister, Louise Head, of Augusta, Ga.; and two grandsons, Joshua and Caleb Leino, both of Lewiston. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Gloria Bolduc, who died in 1998; as well as one sister, Eveline Michaud.
