HARRISON – A two-car crash Wednesday on Route 117 that sent three people to the hospital is still under investigation, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

According to police, George Austin, 18, of Harrison and a passenger, Libby Kristen, 17, whose address was unknown, were traveling north on Route 117 in a 2003 Pontiac when a 2003 Honda driven south by 43-year-old Kristie Scelzo of Oxford attempted to turn left onto Bolsters Mill Road and the cars collided.

Rescue workers from Harrison, Bridgton and Oxford responded, along with Bridgton Fire Department personnel who extricated two people from cars. The three victims were taken to hospitals with what police described as minor head and leg injuries.

No citations have been issued at this time, according to officials.
