LOVELL — Voters approved a $1.1 million municipal budget and re-elected Selectman Steve Goldsmith and SAD 72 Director Robert Steller at the annual town meeting Saturday.

A total of 62 voters in the Town Hall acted on the 90-article warrant in about two hours. They passed a $1.17 million budget, approving all requests except $2,160 for Susan Curtis camp. Officials said the Budget Committee recommended the request be passed over because camp officials failed to get the necessary information to town officials in time.

The budget included $160,000 for snow removal and winter road care and $110,000 for road paving; $35,000 for a new highway truck; $41,000 for care of town buildings and grounds; and $62,500 for the Lovell Volunteer Fire Department.

Voters also approved $24,000 for an equipment capital fund; $39,000 for the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library; and $25,000 to repair Fern Drive Bridge.

Voters elected Pat Williams to a five-year seat on the Planning Board and re-elected Margaret Dyer as a first alternate to the Planning Board for one year. Karen Bacchiocchi was chosen as a second alternate to the Planning Board for one year.

Rose McKenzie was elected to a five-year term on the Budget Committee and John Bliss and Joe Moody were re-elected to seven-year terms.
