WINTHROP — Police are searching for a male suspect in the armed robbery of a Maine Street gas station.

Police say a lone male showed a handgun and demanded cash from the cashier about 3:30 a.m. Monday at the Circle K Convenience Store and Gas Station. The suspect left on foot with an unspecified amount of cash.

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his early 20s who is about 5-feet, 7-inches to 6-feet tall. He was wearing a white mask, a dark hoodie with a logo that read “Feed the Twins” on the back, bright green pajama bottoms and white sneakers.

Winthrop Police are asking that anyone with information contact Det. Peter Struck or Chief Joseph E. Young Sr at 207-377-7226.
