DOVER, NH — Raymond A. LaBrie, 76, of Deerfield Dr., Dover, N.H., passed away on Sunday, March 2, at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover.

Raymond was born in Lewiston on Jan. 23, 1938, the son of Hormidas L. and Lauretta FA (Desfosses) LaBrie. He was educated in Lewiston schools and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1956, then went on to graduate from Coyne Tech.

He was employed in the restaurant industry in Boston for many years during the early part of his career, moving to Miami Beach, Fla., where he owned Neil’s Restaurant. In 1985, he returned to New England, where he was employed by Simplex Wire for 23 years, retiring in 2008.

A caring brother and friend, he is survived by his brother, Robert L. LaBrie and his wife, Maureen; and sisters, Rita Sabourin and her husband, Ronald, and Rejeanne Cyr and her husband, Duane. He was a much-beloved uncle to Paul LaBrie, Patricia LaBrie, Sandra Sabourin, Ann Bates, Karen Krotine and Keith Cyr; along with 10 great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-nephew whom he delighted in.

Thank you all for the adventures we’ve shared, your infectious laugh and love of life, and the love you’ve always shown us. We’re forever changed.

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude for the wonderful care and support extended throughout his illness to Drs. Taylor Ortiz, Noel Wheeler, Arul Mahadevan and Agata Marszalek; the nursing staff at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital; Langdon Place of Dover rehab; and especially the caring staff of Hyder House in Dover, N.H.
