1920 – 2014

LEWISTON — Yvonne M. Boilard, 93, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, at Ouellette’s Adult Foster Home.

She was born in Berlin, N.H., on May 14, 1920, the daughter of the late Andre and Laura (Houle) Dion. She attended local schools and worked for 15 years at Clark Shoe. Yvonne married the love of her life, Bertrand R. Boilard, on Valentine’s Day 1942; he predeceased her in March 2008.

She was a member of St. Louis Church, Ladies of Ste. Anne and the Auburn Senior Citizens. She loved spending time with family, enjoyed tending her many flower gardens that she had surrounding their home, sewing and crocheting, playing cards and table games of all kinds and word-search puzzle books. She also enjoyed the circle of good friends she made while living at Barker Mill Arms; they were truly like a second family to her.

She leaves her two sons, Robert Boilard and his wife, Rona, of Lewiston and Albert Boilard of Auburn; her granddaughter, Lisa Boilard and companion, Nick Giguere, of Wales; and her great-grandson, Jack Kramarz, of Wales.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Henry, Robert, Normand and Alcide Dion.

Our sincere gratitude and heartfelt “thank-you” to Yvonne’s caregivers, especially Ron and Pat at Ouellette’s Adult Foster Home in Lewiston. She was only there for a short time, but they made her feel like family from the beginning.
