AUGUSTA — A survey says Maine heating oil has gone down a penny per gallon over the past week to $3.86 per gallon.
The Governor’s Energy Office said Wednesday in its weekly heating fuel survey that the current cost of heating oil is 33 cents higher since the season started in October.
Last year at this time, heating oil cost $3.78 per gallon, or 8 cents less than the current price.
The survey found a range of $3.60 to $4.20 for heating oil in Maine. It also found that kerosene remained the same at $4.32 per gallon, while propane went down a penny to $3.52 per gallon.
