Dance planned at American Legion

PARIS — A dance will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturdays, March 8, 15, 22 and 29, at the American Legion Hall, 12 Church St.

The Jones Dance Band will provide the music.

Cost is $5.

World’s Fair meeting, dinner

WATERFORD — The March meeting for the Waterford World’s Fair Association will be held starting at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at the Waterford Town Office. All members and interested individuals are welcome to attend.

On Saturday, March 15, there will be a boiled dinner with corned beef, vegetables, drink, bread and dessert all for $9. There will also be ham for those that do not care for corned beef.

The meal will be held at the Waterford Congregational Church, across from Melbys. Serving starts at 5 p.m.

Craft supplies sale set for March 15

OTISFIELD — East Otisfield Free Baptist Church will hold its first-ever Craft Making Supplies Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at 231 Rayville Road, which is off Route 121.

For sale will be such things as yarn, thread, fabric, beads, paper craft supplies, paints, brushes and craft tools, as well as UFOs (unfinished objects).

Proceeds will support the Scholarship Fund, which will help 10 college students pay their tuition.

St. Patrick’s supper, dance is March 15

PARIS — Foster-Carroll American Legion Auxiliary Unit 72 will hold a St. Patrick’s Day supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the South Paris American Legion Hall, 12 Church St.

The meal will feature a corned beef and cabbage supper with homemade pies.

It will be followed by a dance by the Jones Band from 6:30 to 9:30.

Supper only is $8 for adults, $4 for age 12 and under.

St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon on March 16

MECHANIC FALLS — A St. Patrick’s Day luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, at Mechanic Falls Ladies Auxiliary Unit 150, 41 Elm St.

The meal will be a traditional boiled dinner and desserts. Cost is $6 for seniors, $7 for adults and $3 for children under 10.

Lewiston Bridge Club winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners at the Lewiston Armory on March 3 were as follows: first/second tie, Jeanine Kivus and David Lock with Mary Trafton and Luke Merry; third, Marta Clements and Dick Allen; first in B, Donna Bartlett and Sue Kaluzynski.

Winners on March 4 were: first, Tom and Rosemarie Goodwin; second, Les Buzzell and Mike True; third, Jeanine Kivus and Luke Merry; fourth, Kathleen Burden and Mary Trafton; first in B, Kathy Burden and Mary Trafton; second, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr; first in C, Cindy and Bob Kirchherr; second, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe.
