LIVERMORE FALLS — The annual Livermore Falls Library Association Meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Treat Memorial Library. Anyone with a valid library card from Treat is invited to hear about what has happened at the library this past year, be part of its plans for the future or just show support.

Members of the community are invited to consider volunteering opportunities? The time commitment could be as little as an hour per month, depending on the task. Examples include:

Adopt-A-Shelf: Many volunteers have given up on “reading” entire sections of the collection, but by adopting just one shelf (favorite author or subject), order can be restored in less than one hour per week.

Literary Critic: You are reading our books already, why not write a short paragraph in review to share with other patrons. Time commitment is up to you.

Homebound Volunteer: Collect selected books at the library to deliver to someone who is unable to come for themselves. Pick up and return these books to the library.

Program Assistant: Be an extra pair of hands or another voice at story time or during summer reading program sessions. Events are usually 45 minutes long with half-hour setup and cleanup.

Book Discussion Leader: Once per month for 3-4 hours share your love of reading with others. All read the same book or just discuss what each one has recently read.
