West Paris — Worship services at the First Universalist Church of West Paris are thought-provoking, sprinkled with humor, and always inspirational. All are welcomed to attend, Sundays at 9 a.m. followed by refreshments. Services are presented with a combination of guest speakers and Worship Service Committee members.

March 9, “Comparing/Contrasting ‘Amazing Grace’ and Our Seven Principles,” led by Nancy Willard with the Worship Service Committee.

March 16, “The Sermon on the Amount” led by The Rev. Fayre Stephenson.

Webster’s defines stewardship as “the conducting, supervising or managing of something; especially: the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care.” This service will focus on a consideration of stewardship of First Universalist Church, the spiritual community entrusted to members’ care.

March 23, “Crazy Love” led by The Rev. Kate Braestrup, who is welcomed back once again to lead the service. She is a community minister, law enforcement chaplain and the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir, “Here If You Need Me,” “Marriage and Other Acts of Charity” and “Beginner’s Grace: Bringing Prayer to Life.”

March 30, “Songs of Freedom” led by The Rev. Fayre Stephenson. This service is inspired by Bob Marley’s reggae music, the Rastafarians and Liberation Theology. Come hear about the music, sing some freedom songs and find out what all of this has to do with us.
