LEWISTON — The Lewiston and Auburn Public Libraries will host the third annual Teen Opportunities Fair on Saturday, March 15, at Lewiston Public Library’s Callahan Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature exhibits and displays from a number of local businesses and agencies that employ local teenagers or provide services or volunteer opportunities for them.

The fair will feature area organizations supporting local young adults in one or more of the following pursuits: employment, volunteering, internships, continuing education and life skills. The event is free and open to all area teens.

Participants will be able to talk with employers, find out what they are looking for in new hires and apply for jobs. Other agencies will be providing details on the services and opportunities that they provide.

This year will also include a guest panel of young adults who will share their experiences in opening their own small businesses. In addition, the fair will feature door prizes and free food.

Local organizations exhibiting at the Teen Opportunities Fair include Good Shepherd Food-Bank, College for ME Androscoggin, the Humane Society, the Auburn Rec. Department, ArtVan, Lots to Gardens, Tree Street Youth, Boys & Girls Club, the Somali-Bantu Youth Association, YWCA, CMCC, Community Credit Union and more.
