BRUNSWICK — Teens To Trails is partnering with the Maine Outdoor Film Festival to bring a variety of films from around the world to two area high schools. The festival will visit Windham High School Saturday, March 15, and Cony High School Friday, May 16. The films begin at 7 p.m.

Each film features a story about the outdoors. This year’s selection includes films about the first American to summit Everest, fly-fishing breast cancer survivors in Unity, and Windham alum Asa Reed’s documentary of his outing club’s sea kayak trip to Saddleback Island, which they received for hosting last year’s film festival. The festival is visiting high schools in an effort to reach more teens and raise awareness in their communities that outdoor experiences are important to life.

The Maine Outdoor Film Festival is now accepting submissions for the 2014-2015 festival. Visit http://maineoutdoorfilm.com/ to learn more. If you are a school or small theater who would like bring this event to your community, email mckenzie@teenstotrails.org.

Tickets are still on sale for both events. You can purchase tickets for $8 on the Maine Outdoor Film Festival event page on the Teens To Trails website or at the door for $10.
