ANDOVER — Wednesday night’s second public hearing on a proposal to begin steps to withdraw from SAD 44 was canceled due to the snowstorm.

Jarrod Dumas of the On Our Own Committee said Wednesday afternoon that the meeting won’t be rescheduled. He said he didn’t think there would be many attending Wednesday night, because at the initial state-mandated hearing on Saturday 35 people turned out.

Wednesday’s meeting was to be for those who couldn’t make it Saturday.

A vote on whether to start the process again will be held at the annual town meeting Tuesday, March 18. A majority vote is required for passage. The polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Hall.
