FARMINGTON — Traffic was slowed and reduced to two lanes Wednesday when the wheels on a tractor-trailer got hung up on a snowbank as it left the Irving Big Stop on routes 2 and 4.

The tractor-trailer jack-knifed, blocking two lanes and the trailer was on the verge of tipping over, Farmington police officer Darin Gilbert said. It took 30 to 45 minutes during the snowstorm to get the trailer straightened out so it would not tip over, he said.

Farmington Fire Rescue Department assisted with traffic control.

No accident report was filed, he said and he did not know the driver’s name.
