Community kettle dinner cancelled

BRIDGTON — The Bridgton Community Center Community Kettle Dinner scheduled for March 13 has been canceled due to the snow storm.

There will be no dinner on March 27. Upcoming dinners are March 20, sponsorship available; April 3, NAHGA; April 10, sponsored by Pietree Orchard; April 17, Bridgton Rotary; and April 24, Boy Scout Troop 149.

The meals are served from 5 to 6 p.m. and are free for all.

Oxford Duplicate Bridge Club

OXFORD — Oxford Duplicate Bridge Club met March 7 for a five-table Howell movement.

Finishing first in flight A were Hazel Glazier (Norway) and Marta Clements (Woodstock); second, Rosemarie Goodwin (Lewiston) and Luke Merry (Gray); third, Mike Newsom (South Paris) and Dick Allen (New Gloucester); fourth/fifth tie, Milt McKeen (Bridgton) and Les Buzzell (Auburn) tied with Hank Sakrison (Poland) and Denny Raymond (Waterford) who were first in flight B; second in flight B were Cindy and Bob Kirchherr (South Paris); third, Carol Curran (Waterford) and Barbara Vanderzand (Lovell); fourth, Linda Smith (Oxford) and Jack Neal (Oxford).

Lewiston Bridge Club winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners on March 1, were as follows: first, Mary Ann Trafton and Luke Merry; second, Sue Kaluzynski and Les Buzzell.

Winners on March 11 were: first, Jan and Vern Arey; second, Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier; third, Kathy Burden and Mary Ann Trafton.

Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for more information.
