1941 – 2014

AUBURN — Laurent Joseph “Larry” Chevalier, 72, of Auburn, went to heaven on Tuesday, March 11, with his loving wife and family by his side.

He was born in Quebec, Canada, on July 11, 1941, a son of Alphonse F. Chevalier and Antoinette Lajoie. Larry graduated from St. Dom’s in June 1959. He then worked at Bell Mfg. for years.

He married his loving wife, Lorraine, on Dec. 31, 1977. Larry loved sitting on his swing in the front yard, picnics with his wife, long car rides, family BBQ’s, camping and going out to eat.

His contagious laugh will be sadly missed by his wife, Lorraine, of 36 years; his three daughters, Laura Chevalier and partner, Mary, of Monmouth, Dorothy Wilbur and husband, Bruce, of Sabattus, and Barbara Chadborn and husband, Brock, of Lisbon; stepchildren, Leo Rodrigue Jr. of Louisville, Ky., Heidi Poisson and husband, Dan, of Auburn, Penny Belleville and husband, Chris, of Oxford, and Robbie Rodrigue and wife, Lisa, of Poland. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Gaydos and husband, Jack, of Portland; along with several nieces, nephews and sisters- and brothers-in-law.

He was predeceased by his parents; and relatives of Canada.

A special thanks from the family to the staff at Clover Health Care and Androscoggin Homecare and Hospice.
