JAY — Police said a 12-year-old Jay boy was charged Tuesday with breaking into a building at the Otis Falls Mill twice.
The investigation began Sunday night after a report of a burglary at the mill. Police were called there again late Monday night and discovered the same building had been entered, Detective Richard Caton IV said Tuesday.
A padlock on a chained door was broken and it is believed nothing was stolen either time, he said.
Police reviewed surveillance video and were able to identify the boy, who was charged with two counts of criminal trespass and one count of criminal mischief, all misdemeanors, he said.
The case has been turned over to a juvenile caseworker.
