1931 – 2014

WINTHROP — Marion M. Palleschi Frost, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 15, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Marion was born in Winthrop on July 24, 1931, the daughter of Loreto and Rita Alden Palleschi. She attended Winthrop schools and was a graduate of Winthrop High School.

On June 29, 1956, she married LeRoy Frost, her husband of 54 years until his death in 2010.

Marion worked most of her adult life, most recently for the Maine Department of Labor, until her retirement.

She enjoyed music, gardening and crafts of many kinds, including knitting, rug-hooking, ceramics and counted cross-stitch, among others. Many of her creations could be found in her home and the homes of her loved ones. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, who loved to attend and be a part of her children’s and grandchildren’s events and activities.

Marion also enjoyed traveling, making trips to Yellowstone National Park, the Canadian Rockies and Branson, Mo. She was especially happy to travel with her sister to Italy. During this trip, she was able to visit her father’s childhood home and meet her Italian relatives.

She is survived by her children, Robert L. Frost and Robin Ouellette and her husband, Steve; and grandchildren, Jill and Kelsey Ouellette, all of Winthrop; her brothers and sisters, Lottie Carlson of Manchester, Everett Palleschi and his wife, Lillian, of Monmouth, Hartley Palleschi of Winthrop, Joseph Palleschi and his partner, Greg Hall, of Mount Vernon and Elda Sanborn and her husband, Dana, of Tewksbury, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Marion was predeceased by her sister, Nita P. McKenney.
