AUGUSTA (AP) — A government survey says the average price of Maine heating oil has fallen 4 cents to $3.80 per gallon.
In its weekly survey, the Governor’s Energy Office said Wednesday the current price of heating oil is 11 cents more than this time last year.
The survey said greater demand for heating fuel this winter has been driven by cold temperatures.
The survey also found that the price of propane decreased by 2 cents to $3.47 per gallon. The price for kerosene decreased 4 cents to $4.26 per gallon.
The survey found a range of $3.44 to $4.20 for heating oil in the state.
