1930 – 2014
AUBURN — Richard L. Dube, 83, of Minot, passed away Saturday, March 15, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, with his family at his side.
He was born in Lewiston on Sept. 20, 1930, a son of the late Joseph and Viola (Poisson) Dube. Following school, he served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War Conflict. Returning home, he married Cecile Rioux on Sept. 10, 1955, and they raised their three children in this area; Cecile passed away in 2011.
He spent a great deal of his working life at Snow’s Tire as a retreader. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Sacred Heart Church, and previously of St. Louis Church before its closing. Richard was also a member of the Pastime Club and the Auburn Social Club.
Richard enjoyed playing cards and cribbage, camping, fishing, boating and going to casinos. He loved his time spent with his large extended family.
Richard is survived by his three children, Denise Guerin and husband, Daniel, of Minot, Richard Dube and wife, Donna, of Turner and Gilbert Dube and wife, Pauline, of Minot; grandchildren, Christine, Dwan and Tracy Dube, Michael and Danielle Guerin and Alicia and Makayla Dube; step-grandchildren, Shawn Rioux and Sarah Malvezzi; and his brother, Marcel Dube and wife, Eva, of Lewiston.
Richard was predeceased by his wife, Cecile; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Dube.
