LEWISTON — Louis V. Wilcox III, also known by the name Terry Wilcox, 54, of Lewiston, and former resident of Thorndike, died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Central Maine Medical Center with his father, Louis V. Wilcox Jr. and his friend Veronica McMahon in attendance, along with Beacon Hospice and palliative care at the Medical Center.
Terry was very active even though some activities were limited. He loved to travel and had traveled over much of U.S. and the Bahamas. He loved people, movies, bowling, television, pens, pencils, paper and envelopes, doing things, going places and singing ‘Row, Row, Row Your Boat.’ He was an active advocate for people who were developmentally disabled.
In addition to his father, Terry is survived by an older sister, Karen Etchberger from Schwenksville, Pa.; and by a younger sister, Julie Allen Boyer, from coastal Maine. He is also survived by many of his former caregivers who were so good to him.
His mother, Margret S. Wilcox, predeceased him by four years.
