AUGUSTA — The Maine Conservation Corps (MCC) has welcomed Sarah Fensore of New Gloucester to serve as an environmental steward and AmeriCorps volunteer for a 45-week, 1,700-hour term of national service.

Fensore is the daughter of David and Carolyn Fensore of New Gloucester. She is a 2009 graduate of Hebron Academy and is a 2013 graduate of Colby College with a French/art and environmental studies degree.

The MCC conducts conservation projects throughout Maine, including extensive recreational trail construction and rehabilitation.

Gov. Paul R. LePage welcomed Fensore’s decision to enter service in Maine. “On behalf of the state of Maine, I would like to congratulate you on your commitment to serving Maine as a member of the Maine Conservation Corps,” he said.
