WALES — Marissa Parker Bair, a senior at Oak Hill High School, has been selected to receive the 2014 Principal’s Award, Principal Patricia Doyle has announced.
Bair is the daughter of William Bair and Stephanie Parker of Wales. The award is sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association and is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
Throughout her years at Oak Hill, she has distinguished herself and has been involved in many activities. Bair has been an active member of Oak Hill Legislative Assembly, French Club, Band and Jazz Combo. She was also inducted into the National Honor Society.
Outside of school she has been first violinist for the Mozart Mentors Orchestra at Bowdoin College and has been a dancer for Mary Jane’s School of Dance Competition Team. Bair has also volunteered many hours in concerts for Granite Hill Estates and other nursing home facilities.
Award winners and their principals will attend an Honors Luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on Saturday, April 5.
