1911 – 2014

AUBURN — Armandine F. Blanchette Caron, age 102 years and seven months, formerly of Lewiston, passed away peacefully at Clover Health Care on Monday, March 31, with her loving family by her side.

She was born on Sept. 1, 1911, in Ste. Honore de Chenley, Quebec, the daughter of Cyrille and Cedulie (Roy) Fortier.

She married her first husband, Willie A. Blanchette Sr., on April 29, 1935, at St. Rose de Lima Church in Chisholm (Jay). They had five children, three daughters and two sons: Elaine and husband, Gerald Wark, of Rockledge, Fla., Marie and husband, Valier Madore, of Sabattus, Willie A. Blanchette Jr., of Oxford, Roger and wife, Pauline Dubois, of Sabattus and Anita and husband, Raymond J. Maurice, of Sabattus. She is also survived by one brother, Laurent Fortier, of Auburn; one sister, Madeleine Duchesney, of Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Willie, passed away on Nov. 30, 1962.

She married her second husband, Armand Caron, on July 30, 1983, and he passed away on Nov. 9, 2008. She was also predeceased by 14 sisters and brothers.
