PARIS — Oxford County Soil & Water Conservation District will once again offer a long list of native plants for beginning to advanced gardeners throughout Oxford County and the surrounding area.

This year’s list includes more than 100 choices of flowering perennials, ferns, vines, groundcovers, ornamental grasses, edible plants, shrubs and trees.

Along with old favorites such as Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Canadian Ginger, Checkerberry, Blueberry, Pussy Willow and American Elder, are new offerings of various types of Baptisia, Bee Balm, Phlox, Cranberry, and Lingonberry, many new shrubs, and even a Slippery Elm tree. Six species of evergreen seedlings are being offered in bundles of 10.

The native plant order form is available by contacting the OCSWCD at 743-5789, ext. 111, emailing  [email protected], or by going to oxfordcountyswcd.org and following the link to download the form.

Information sheets are also available for specific plantings by area and type. All orders must be received by April 30 and pick-up day will be May 10.
