FARMINGTON — Funeral services for Paula D. Buchanan of Farmington were held Wednesday afternoon, April 2, at Wiles Remembrance Center, 137 Farmington Falls Road, with the Rev. Eva Thompson officiating.

Services began with a memorial video followed by the Rev. Thompson’s opening prayers and readings. Vocalist Sue Stinchfield performed “Amazing Grace.” Psalm 23 was read and Jamie Buchanan, Paula’s brother, offered a prayer. “Celebrate Me Home” was read by the Rev. Thompson, along with excerpts from Paula’s memorial wall. Jeannine Backus, family friend and caregiver, offered a message from Paula and Rebecca Webster, co-worker and friend, offered memories. Paula’s children Matt and Nicole offered a message delivered by the Rev. Thompson. Services concluded with the reading of Robert Frost’s “The Road Not Taken.”

Following services, a Mardi Gras celebration of life was held at the Farmington Elks Lodge. Private family interment will take place later in the spring at Lakeview Cemetery in Wilton.
