DEAR SUN SPOTS: I read your column every day. I have a question that I hope you can give an answer to. I asked several people in Lewiston yesterday if they knew where the Market Basket is. We get a flier every week in the Sun Journal advertising groceries at great prices, but there is no address of where it is. We’re assuming it is in Lewiston or Auburn because it is in the Sun Journal.

I understand there is a Market Basket way out on Sabattus Street, but it actually does sell baskets. Thanks for all your information that you give out. — Ramona Grover, roverramon@megalink.net

ANSWER: Sun Spots has dealt with this question before (Jan. 16, 17). Some readers thought the ads were for the Market Basket store in Harrison, but they are actually for a new store in Biddeford. Sun Spots has no idea why the store doesn’t put its address in the flier, but she wishes it would, as this question keeps reappearing. Read on.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have been receiving the Sun Journal for many years. We get many fliers for stores that are not near our home. Why? We even receive a flier for a store named the Market Basket that I don’t even know where it is. — John Kezal, Rumford Corner

ANSWER: The Sun Journal does not decide where to distribute ads — the advertisers do. Sun Spots is not much of a shopper, but she knows many people who think nothing of driving for an hour to go shopping, especially if they live out in the country where there is not a wide selection of stores.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have been a subscriber to the Sun Journal for more than 40 years. I remember when I subscribed to both the Daily Sun as a morning paper and the Evening Journal as an afternoon paper.

I have not lived in Lewiston-Auburn for 30 years, but I have always had the Sun Journal delivered. When the electronic edition became available, I immediately started receiving it. I have been very pleased with the service with one exception. Why, oh why, don’t I get the Sunday comics?

I understand that they are printed as an insert to the paper edition, but I have the option of reading the weeklies, and I would think that that would be a way to get access to them as well. — Robert Tremaine, robert.tremaine@roadrunner.com

ANSWER: Circulation Manager Mike Theriault said that “the Sunday comics section is a special section that is not currently published via an eEdition format. We have to pay a per-page fee for each page that is converted. Just like other inserts or advertisements, we don’t have an efficient way to publish these additional pages at this time.”
