BANGOR (AP) — A Franklin County woman has been sentenced to more than four years in federal prison for robbing a Kingfield pharmacy of prescription medication last year.
Michelle Wilcox, from East Central Franklin township, was sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Bangor to four years and three months behind bars, three years of probation, and ordered to pay nearly $1,200 in restitution.
Prosecutors say the 28-year-old Wilcox entered the Western Maine Pharmacy on June 3 wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses and passed a note to a technician demanding all the Suboxone strips. She also said she had “a weapon and will use it.”
She got away with 85 8 milligram Suboxone strips.
She was tracked down and arrested within hours. She pleaded guilty in October.
