AUBURN — Rachel G. (Bouchard) Perkins, 80, of Sabattus, died peacefully, with her children by her side, on Friday, March 28, at the Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Seth Perkins, who died Feb. 27, 1999.
She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 27, 1934, a daughter of the late Magloire and Jeanne Bouchard. She graduated from St. Dominic’s High School. She worked for St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston for more than 25 years as a cashier.
Rachel enjoyed doing word-search puzzles, as well as camping and riding a motorcycle with her beloved husband, Seth.
She is survived by her children, Alan Perkins and his wife, Sandy, of Downey, Calif., Gail Martin and her companion, Matt Baker, of Knoxville, Tenn., Troy Perkins and his companion, Sue LaPlante, of Sabattus and Rody Perkins and his wife, Chris, of Turner. She also leaves five grandchildren, Joey, Darcy, Crystal, Briana and Nolan; and seven great-grandchildren. She was also the grandmother of the late David Martin, who died Oct. 1, 2002.
