LEWISTON — Kindergarten registration and screening will be held Friday, May 9, at the following times and locations. Parents need to call the appropriate school for an appointment.
Martel School, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 795-4130.
Farwell School, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 795-4110.
Geiger School, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 795-4160.
McMahon School, 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 795-4140.
Longley School, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 795-4120.
Montello School, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., 795-4150.
Parent, medical and education informational forms will need to be completed. A certified birth certificate must be brought to the meeting. An I-94 or green card is required for any child not born in the United States.
Also required are immunization records and proof of residency, such as a driver’s license with school appropriate address, lease or rent agreement, utility bills or mortgage agreement. The child must be present at registration and must be registered in the district of residence.
The child must be 5 years old by Oct. 15 to be eligible for the September 2014 kindergarten class.
Pre-kindergarten registration dates will be announced soon.
