RSU 10 pre-K applications

DIXFIELD — Children who will be 4 years old on or before Oct. 15 and live in the Mountain Valley Region (Rumford, Mexico, Hanover, Roxbury, Bryon) are eligible for the pre-K program at Meroby Elementary and Rumford Elementary.

Applications will be available starting Monday, April 28, at the two schools. Only completed applications with a copy of the child’s original birth certificate and proof of residency will be accepted.

Stephens High School Class of 1954

MEXICO — The Stephens High School Class of 1954 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Dick’s Restaurant. Class members are invited to bring ideas for the 60th class reunion this summer.

Neighborly Seniors meet April 16

DIXFIELD — The Neighborly Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 16. Bring something for a potluck lunch. New day trips are being planned.

Maundy Thursday at ‘Green Church’

MEXICO — Maundy Thursday will be observed at an ecumenical service at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Mexico Congregational Church United Church of Christ (the “Green Church”), 163 Main St.

Jesus’ Last Supper will be commemorated, and the choirs will join to provide special music.

The three churches participating are the Mexico UCC, United Methodist Church of Rumford and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church of Rumford.

An ecumenical Good Friday service will be held at 7 p.m. on April 18 at St. Barnabas. The community is invited to attend both services.
