1921 – 2014

LEWISTON — Beatrice G. Gousse, 92, of Lisbon, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.

Beatrice was born a daughter of the late Joseph Emile and Marie (Parent) Gervais on April 12, 1921, in Canada, and went to Lewiston schools.

After she married Roland Gousse, they moved to Connecticut, where they lived for many years; they returned to Maine after they retired. Beatrice was a member of Holy Trinity Parish in Lisbon Falls. She loved to spend her time gardening and reading.

Beatrice is survived by her two children, Paulette Doull and her husband, James, of California and Paul Gousse and his significant other, Nancy Dumond, of Connecticut; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry of Lewiston and Raymond of Montana; a longtime friend, Hervey Gravel, of Harpswell; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Roland; a grandchild, Michael; three brothers, Joe, Lucien and Robert; and two sisters, Irene and Priscilla.
