Coach: Steve Amoroso (first year)
Last year’s results: fourth in MVC, 10th in Class C
Returning letter-winners: Seniors — Brittany Eastman (hurdles), Alexis Laliberte (200, 400), Ellen Tuttle (distance, racewalk); Junior — Emily Carney (800, relays); Sophomore — Abby L’Abbe (distance).
Key losses: Marley Byrne (injured).
Promising newcomers: Freshmen — Sydney Sirois, Ella Brown, Megan D’Alessandro.
Season outlook: The season begins with a big void for the Saints. Byrne, who was third in the 200, fourth in the 100 and fifth in triple jump at the 2013 Class C state meet, is out after undergoing surgery. She will be helping to coach the jumping contingent. Sirois enters the high school program having already achieved national acclaim in the racewalk and should help replace some of Byrne’s scoring punch. Carney, Tuttle and L’Abbe all contributed to the top-five finish at MVCs. Eastman and Laliberte join Tuttle as captains.
