1951 – 2014

AUBURN — Rena M. Wilbur, 62, of Bath, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday morning, April 15, at the Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 15, 1951, the daughter of the late Albert and Cora (Saucier) Lagueux. She grew up in the Lewiston area, attended local schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1969. Rena worked at Bath Iron Works for 38 years; 12 of those years was spent as a class 1 welder and the other 26 years as a tool keeper. She enjoyed working there and the people she worked with.

Rena loved gardening, spending quality time with her grandchildren and family, being by the ocean and collecting shells. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor, exciting personality and bringing joy to the lives of everyone she met.

Rena is survived by her two children, Larry Lagueux of Sabattus and Tonya Wilbur of Bath; as well as her three brothers, Richard Lagueux, Raymond Lagueux Sr. and David Lagueux. She also leaves behind her six grandchildren, Joshua, Kaitlin and Kolby Lagueux, Nathan Fraser, Tylor Wilson and Desiree Saucier; two great-grandchildren, Pryce and Brooklynn Lagueux; and many nieces and nephews.

You are invited to share your thoughts, condolences and fond memories of Rena through her guest book at www.thefortingroupauburn.com.
